Because this site is relatively new, we need some time to research and eventually fully populate this page. Please bear with us, check out what's here, and come back later to see what new things we've found for you.

This is a screenshot of the website that is chock-full of information about our emotional subconscious minds and how they control our very lives. It describes the advent and development of Af-x, a fast-growing and highly successful therapy that helps correct - or maybe more exactly - re-set, the way your emotional unconscious acts and reacts.
This is not intended to be my personal site, but I built it and wrote it, since I am the original architect and developer of Af-x as well as the developer of the theoretical philosophy upon which Af-x is built - "affectology." You can click on the picture or go directly to the site Emotions In Balance, and you may like to go to the blog, participate in the posts or ask a question using a 'contact' form. Hope to see you soon!
There are also some articles in the specific 'articles' page of the site

The above site (emotionsinbalance) can sometimes be a little intimidating for those who want their information in easily digestible form. So, to help with that, you may be interested in going to whatisafx where we've tried to express the important points in what we call here in Australia "DingoLingo" or "keeping it relatively simple."

If you're Greek, speak Greek, live in Greece, or are looking for affect-based and integrative psychotherapy and professional training, then you visit the Applied Psychotherapy and Counselling Centre in Kallithea, Athens. Director is Dr Ioannis Dovelos, a follower of the affectology movement and developer of an integrative therapy approach known as 'Biothymics', of which Clinical Affectology has a significant input. |
If you are a purchaser of the Beat Depression the Drug Free Way book (above) you already know that you receive with that book, this eBook (left) that is packed full of sound and workable advice to raise yourself out of the depression rut. The workbook contains MP3 sound files that take you through mindfulness exercises essential for bringing about modification of deep-seated affect response patterns that drive the depression response. |
_The Laboratory for Affective Neuroscience engages in a broad program
of research on the brain mechanisms underlying emotion and emotion
regulation in normal individuals throughout the life course.
Headed by Dr Richard J. Davidson, this laboratory has been at the forefront of affective neurological research for decades. The populations they study include normal middle-aged and older adults, infants, toddlers, children and adolescents as well as individuals with various psychiatric disorders. They also study relations between the central circuitry of emotion and peripheral biology to probe the mechanisms of mind-brain-body interaction. A fundamental part of most of their research is a focus on individual differences in affective style - how and why individuals differ dramatically in how they respond to emotional challenges. |
Since this site is called "WhiteWords" and it's somewhat about me, I suppose it is acceptable to add a note about history. A recent client said I was "well-rounded." I assumed he wasn't talking about my physical shape, so I think he was referring to the fact that a "full" life has helped in formulating the edicts under which Af-x and affectology operate.
So, here's a hint (at right) of what constitutes part of this "rounded" progenitor. |
